RICHMOND, VA – (Thursday, March 21, 2024) – Sportable, Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, is proud to name Allianz Partners as the Official Travel Partner of the 2024 Wheelchair Basketball National Championships. The top 100 Adult and Junior Division wheelchair basketball teams from across the country will compete for national titles April 5-14, 2024 at the Henrico Sports and Events Center. As the Official Travel Partner, Henrico-based Allianz Partners is facilitating cross-country travel for more than 1,000 wheelchair basketball players attending the National Championship tournament. By providing travel tips for athletes with disabilities, sponsoring an in-depth travel webinar, staffing the official welcome center at Richmond International Airport, and assisting with equipment transportation, Allianz Partners is helping to deliver a first-class travel experience.
Taking place on eight courts over six days, games begin April 5-7 when 52 Varsity and Prep level youth teams compete at the state-of-the-art Henrico Sports and Events Center. The top 16 ranked wheelchair basketball teams for each Adult Division (I, II, III) will compete for national titles the following week, April 12-14, 2024.
