Richmond, VA, March 5, 2020 — Allianz Global Assistance announced it has been awarded eight trophies in the Stevie® Awards, including a Gold Stevie Award for Customer Service Department of the Year-Financial Services - 100 or More Employees. Michelle Huffman, Manager of Travel Sales, was also honored with a gold trophy for Sales Manager of the Year at the 14th Annual Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service. The company also took a silver trophy in the category of Contact Center of the Year (over 100 seats) – Financial Services.
Allianz’s sales team also won a silver trophy in the category of Inside or Telesales Team of the Year and two Bronze awards for Best Customer Feedback Strategy and Best Use of Technology in Customer Service in financial services. Allianz employees Mike Gross and Sandra Gomez were awarded silver trophies in the Sales Representative of the Year – All Other Industries and Contact Center Manager of the Year categories, respectively. They were recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication in sales and customer service. In total, the company has won 17 Stevie Awards for sales and customer service since 2015.
The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development and sales professionals. The awards were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Friday, February 28 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. More than 600 executives from the U.S.A. and several other nations attended. The Stevie Awards organizes eight of the world’s leading business awards programs including the prestigious American Business Awards® and International Business Awards®.

Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 180 professionals worldwide on seven specialized judging committees. Entries were considered in more than 90 categories for customer service and contact center achievements, including Contact Center of the Year, Award for Innovation in Customer Service, and Customer Service Department of the Year; more than 60 categories for sales and business development achievements, ranging from Senior Sales Executive of the Year to Sales Training or Business Development Executive of the Year to Sales Department of the Year; and categories to recognize new products and services and solution providers.
